About Revisionary

Revisionary began with a single student. He'd just finished his GCSEs and A-Levels, come out with top grades in the sciences, and taken up a place at a top UK university.

During the months of revision that got him there, the same annoyance kept coming back: the resources were nearly right, but never quite a fit. Flashcard decks mixed the exam boards together. Notes still covered parts of the specification his board had dropped. Past papers and mark schemes were scattered across a dozen sites, most of them behind paywalls or school logins. Every revision session started with ten minutes of sorting out what actually applied to his exam before he could start learning anything.

Once the exams were done, he started building the thing he wished he'd had — a revision platform that picked a single exam board and did that one thing properly. That became Revisionary.

Revisionary isn't the work of one person on their own. Along the way, a handful of UK teachers and educational professionals looked over the content, pushed back on things that weren't quite right, and tested it with their own students. They're the reason the marking feels like a real mark scheme and not a guess at one.

Revisionary covers GCSE and A-Level science across AQA, Edexcel, OCR A and OCR B. Each board is kept completely separate — pick yours at signup and everything you see after that is tied to your specification.

The tools inside the platform are:

• Quiz games that pitch themselves at the topics you still need work on
• Over 300 past papers with mark schemes, organised by board, tier and year
• A marking tool that assesses written answers against the real mark scheme
• A progress dashboard that tracks what you know, what you don't, and what to revise next

Everything is spec-specific, not averaged across boards. There are no behavioural ads, no data being sold, and no tricks to keep you scrolling longer than you need to.

Revisionary currently hosts over 100,000 flashcards, 25 science specifications, the four major UK exam boards, and more than 300 past papers. New subjects, more papers and improvements to the marking tool are added as we go.
